- יַבְלָאm. (v. preced., a. יַבֶּלֶת) a species of grass, Cynodon (Agrostis, v. Sm. Ant. s. v., a. Löw Pfl. p. 18 3). Gitt.68b bot. Ab. Zar.28a bot., v. גִּירְדָּא I.Pl. יַבְלֵי Sot.10a (quot. Rashi to Ab. Zar. l. c., ed. דובלא, read: דְּיַ׳); Num. R. s. 9 (sing.), v. גִּירְדָּא I. Ḥull.105b כרך ריפתא אַיַּ׳ (not ליפתא) ate his meal so that the crumbs fell among the yablé. Ib. עקרינהו לְיַ׳וכ׳ he tore the plants out and cast them Yoma 78a בִּדְיַ׳ in shoes made of yablé (Ar. בדיקולי, v. דִּיקוּלָא).
